About Tom

Tom Hush is a multimedia storyteller trained in the ethics of journalism and the technology of today. He is a content creator, commanding communicator and an avid listener.

Tom cut his teeth in media early on as an On-Air host for WLUW 88.7 FM. His tireless pursuit of compelling content and more effective storytelling brought him deeper into the world of broadcasting. Tom served as an Anchor and Reporter for WLUW's daily newscast and eventually oversaw the entirety of WLUW's programming as Program Director.

His experience in radio brought him to Chicago Public Media, where he served as a Production Intern for The Music Vox and The Morning AMp on Vocalo 91.1 FM. With Vocalo, he learned how to amplify the voices of communities that often go unheard, all the while honing his audio production and social media skills.

While radio is his first love in media, Tom is no stranger to other mediums for storytelling.

Tom has shot, written and edited video for Loyola News Chicago and contributed numerous articles to Loyola's award winning newspaper, the Phoenix.

When he's not finding his next story, Tom enjoys keeping up to date with the latest in music, movies and books and watching his home baseball team, the Chicago Cubs.
